Race Against Abuse on Mother's Day to raise money and awareness for people who have experienced abuse or trauma. Run the 10K. Walk the 1.8 mile Fun Run. Volunteer. Together, let's take a stand for a safer community.

COURSE

 

The course will run through the NCR trail in White Hall. Choose between a 10K or a 1.8 mile fun run. 

 

Directions to Race Venue:

  • The race will take place on the NCR Trail in White Hall, MD

  • If using GPS to travel to the race venue, enter the address of the White Hall Post Office, 1415 Wiseburg Road, White Hall, MD  21161

  • Directions from 83 North:  follow 83 North to the Mt Carmel Road exit (exit 27).  Make a RIGHT at end of exit heading towards York Road.  At York Road, make LEFT.  Travel a few miles on York Road, past Casa Mia's and Herford High School.  Make a RIGHT onto Wiseburg Road.  Stay on Wiseburg Road (which winds around for a bit).  There will be a point where it seems that Wiseburg Road ends at other roads, at that point turn RIGHT. 
     

There will be volunteers in orange vests and signs to direct you to the parking area.


*There is a short walk (about 1/8 of a mile) from the parking area to the race start.

 

RACE DAY TIMELINE

  • 7:00 – 7:45 a.m.          Race registration and packet pick-up (for those who weren’t able to pick up their packet prior to the race)

  • 7:45 a.m.                     Pre-race warm up and welcome remarks

  • 8:00 a.m.                     Start time for both the 10K and 1.8 mile fun run

  • Post-Race                   Refreshments and a short awards ceremony

**The run will start rain or shine, although the run could be delayed due to lightning.

PACKET PICKUP INFORMATION

 

See you at packet pickup. Your bag will contain your bib with timing chip, safety pins, a commemorative long-sleeved shirt, directions to the race site and goodies from race sponsors and friends. Please bring your ID. Can’t make packet pickup? Someone may pick up your packet, but the person must show verification – either your confirmation number or a signed letter from you indicating approval – along with ID. Remember, be careful not to bend or fold your bib – your chip is inside.
